INDUSTRIAL ARCHITECT
The industrial architect reports to the vice president Operations. He or she is responsible for the management of the design phase of assigned projects and studies and for the design aspects in following phases. Together with the (senior) project manager Construction he/she is responsible for the delivery of the assignments. The industrial architect manages the project-involved design employees, consultants and 3rd party outside architectural firms.
He or she brings in the design and engineering expertise into the acquisition process and is responsible for proposals regarding design and engineering.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- management of the production of architectural documents;
- participation in client meetings;
- building code reviews;
- communication with building officials;
- management of assigned staff;
- communication and coordination with engineering disciplines and consultants;
- communication with construction staff;
- support sales and marketing with early stage conceptual renderings for project acquisition and detailed renderings for POS;
- support sales and marketing staff with marketing calls, presentations, and preparation of proposals and contracts.
Qualifications
- University degree in Architecture;
- Registration in The Architects Register (Stichting bureau architectenregister, SBA);
- 5+ years of experience in managing the production of architectural construction documents, drawings and specifications for multi-million dollar construction projects, for commercial, educational, industrial or correctional building types;
- Commercial and acquisition experience;
- Proficiency with AutoCAD
- Knowledge or interest in becoming proficient with Revet and 3D Modeling/BIM;
- Proficiency (written and spoken) in Dutch and English languages.
- Proficiency (written and spoken) in German would be a plus but not a requirement

PROJECT MANAGER
The Project Manager role is to provide project management in managing the client projects from the conceptual design through to engineering, tender of subcontracted work and implementation with the clients company. He or she takes total responsibility for the success of his/her projects; responsibilities include not only timely completion of the project but also profit and margin and client satisfaction. A significant amount of client facing expertise is required as during all phases of the project face tot face time with the client is substantial.
Additionally the Project Manager may contribute to the acquisition process. The position enquires much traveling.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in project management
- University or HBO (Hochschule, Ecole Superieure) degree architecture, construction
- Preferably knowledge/background in 2 of the fields construction, industrial engineering and distribution/materials handling
- Fluent in both English and Dutch/German/French language
