 Construction Management

Facility Construction Management, Inc., the construction division of Facilty Group, has constructed more than 250 projects ranging in size from $1 million to more than $100 million.

Facility Group Construction Managers provide full project management, purchasing, expediting, scheduling, estimating, field supervision, quality control, and accounting functions. As a general rule, we do not self-perform work. All portions of the project are competitively bid and broken out into as many packages as possible. This eliminates any middlemen or pyramiding of fees and allows us to control the project through the strongest possible position. Projects are staffed with a project manager working from one of our offices, an on-site full-time superintendent and field engineer with a program manager acting as the overall account executive. Clients are provided with a monthly control report identifying the status of every portion of the work.

Our successful project execution stems from coordination and control of these essential functions

  • Efficient, reliable scheduling
  • Accurate purchasing and aggressive expediting
  • Conscientious monitoring and control of costs
  • Quality, on-time construction

We execute our projects in the following manner
  • Assign an experienced project manager responsible for overall project direction
  • Prepare a detailed estimate of the cost of the project based upon approved final drawings and specifications
  • Prepare a construction schedule by area
  • Supervise and coordinate the checking and approving of shop drawings
  • Provide on-site, full-time construction supervision and subcontractor control
  • Prepare cost estimates for any required changes as the work progresses
  • Check and approve invoices of suppliers and subcontractors before payment
  • Pay all suppliers and subcontractors for work performed
  • Cooperate with the owner's staff architect and inspector and keep owner informed on all aspects of job progress
  • Maintain a pro-active safety program
  • Submit monthly control reports detailing the progress and status of the project
